Korean Night Life
If you are a night owl, Korea has a number of places for you to go. Although the night life is
not as extensive as in other countries, you can still find many places to go to have fun.
The areas listed here contain many restaurants, bars, and other places that stay open late
and attract many people interested in a night life scene. Many of the areas also have a
thriving scene during daylight hours for shopping or other activities, but the night life
scene is very different.
Although Korea tends to be safer than most other countries, especially for foreigners, alcohol
can make people do stupid things. Anti-foreigner sentiment occasionally rears its ugly head,
especially against foreign males with Korean females. Areas where large groups of foreigners
hangout are sometimes targeted for violence. Enjoy yourself, but be aware of your surroundings,
and try to stay in groups of friends.
