Korean War truce

Old JSA where the Armistice Agreement was Signed On May 30, President Lee Seung Man suggested that Gen. Eisenhower both conclude the Mutual Defense Agreement and agree to withdraw all foreign forces from Korea. On June 4, the Communist party agreed with the UN's final suggestion in principle, and on 6th of the same month, Gen. Eisenhower promised President Lee to negotiate the Mutual Defense Agreement and to continue supporting South Korea in both military and economic sectors.

Finally, without the South Korean representative being present, both sides agreed on the repatriation of POWs on June 8th.

On July 27, 1953, by signing the Armistice Agreement, the war without a winner ended after 3 years and 10 months.
