Yeongsan-jae
Date(s): 5th day of the 5th lunar month (Tano), 9:00~18:00; 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month (Apr.~Oct., 18:00; Nov~Mar., 17:00)

Yeons011 Yeongsan-jae, composed of various types of dance and ceremonies, is a purified re-enactment of the historical sermon of the Saddharma Pundarica Sutra by Buddha. Currently, through the ritual designated as Important Intangible Cultural Property #50, the participants in the traditional rite pray for reunification of South and North Korea and peace in the world. Spectators are given a unique chance to experience a variety of aspects of authehentic Korean Buddhist culture, including vegetarian foods for monks.
