Jungseon-am Jungseon-am, situated about 5 km from Haseon-am, is surrounded with beautiful scenery, including Ssangyeong Waterfall, where two dragons are said to have ascended to heaven through a crevice. Here the mountains surround the scenery like a folding screen. The water flows clear and bright through several ravines. Many yangban (gentlemen) used to come here to commune with nature and make music and poetry.

Gogun Kim Sujeung, a civil minister during the Joseon Dynasty (1392 - 1910), named this area Jungseon-am. (The area is also called "Ssangryongpok" due to the legend that two dragons ascended to heaven at Amgyeru here.) It is the center of Samseongugok. The pure and white rocks make stairs, and transparent water flows over the rocks. Two particularly magnificent rocks are called 'Ogyeomdae' and 'Myeonggyeongdae.' The letters 'Sagungangsan samseonsuseok' were engraved on the rockwall of 'Ogyeomdae' by Yun, Heonju, a provincial governor during the Joseon Dynasty. The area has become a popular family resort during the summer.
