Visitors who arrived in Korea prior to April 2001 probably passed through Gimpo. It served as
the nation's major international airport until the new
one opened in Incheon, on Yeongjong-do
Island. Now Gimpo serves as Seoul's major domestic airport.The airport formerly used 3 passenger terminals (1 for domestic flights, and 2 for international flights), as well as a cargo terminal. The passenger terminals are interconnected underground by the subway station entrance. Shuttle buses also circle between all the terminals every 10-15 minutes. International terminal #1 and the domestic terminal have luggage storage areas that charge between Hours: Planes generally arrive and depart between 6:00 a.m. and midnight.
