 
The Dongnae spa waters have been pouring out of hot springs since the Three Kingdoms period and were developed under King Sukjong during the Joseon period. Japanese funds flowed in 1898- many inns and facilities were built and a sizeable leisure business industry grew rapidly.
This is the most famous spa of Korea, with six large spas. The small bathing area can accommodate about 10 people, though it was written in a Joseon document that the stone tub could accommodate five to six people with spring water flowing so hot through the 100 holes that bodies were cleansed almost instantly. The alkali salty water begins at 55 degrees Celsius, but the more people using the hot water causes the temperature to lower. The water of a hot spring is good for ones health and the prevention of many diseases.
