Busan Station started construction for new KTX (Korea Train eXpress) station in 2001 and Busan Station was born newly in September 2003. The new station's building size is 24,646 square meters and it is equipped with 10 escalators, 11 elevators, up-to-date automatic ticket vending machines, waiting areas, PC room, and other up-to-date facilities and central air control systems.
