The road above the banks along the Yoch'eon Stream have been paved and the area has been dedicated to
Dongp'yongjae, one of Korea's two most famous types of traditional Korean opera
(the other being Seop'yongjae). The street is dotted with plaques commemorating
famous singers. Seungwol Bridge near Gwanghallu has been decorated very ornately. Two other bridges have been named for Ch'unhyang and Lee, Mongkreong. A shop near the west end rents swan boats for paddling around the stream. Along the east end, near the Namwon Tourist Complex, is a stage area for open air performances of Pansori and the Eumak Punsudae (Musical Fountain) with scheduled performaces of choreographed water and music.
