![]() Jebu-do is famous for the Moses' Miracle, where the sea appears to part twice a day and the island is connected to the mainland when the tide is low. Nowadays, people can drive since the road is paved or can walk across. Buses also run for people who want to use public transportation. It is important to check the time for low tides since people cannot go to the island after the tide is rising. The West Coast is developed as a beach because of the fine sand and shallow water depth and is a very popular destination for summer vacation. There is also a tent village and amusement park. On the East Coast, the foreshore is showing during low tides and visitors can find clams and common octopuses. After the water rises, visitors can enjoy fishing. At the nearby shops, hoes, gloves and fishing equipment can be rented or bought. Mae-bawi (Hawk Rock) is so-named because it looks like a hawk and is the symbol of Jebu-do. ![]()
