Cheonjiyeon Waterfall One of the three most famous waterfalls on Jeju Island, Cheonjiyeon (meaning a waterfall connecting the sky (Ch'eon) and land (ji)) receives a large number of tourists to get their picture taken with the falls in the background. Although there is one main area where water falls over the cliff, depending on how much rain has fallen recently, the stream may spread and cascade down at several points. The water falls into a large, artificial pond that has been created by two small dams to maintain the water at a certain level.

ducks A serene path leads from the park entrance back to the falls, following alongside the stream made by the waterfall, and separating the tourists from those coming and those leaving. Mutae eels (Natural Treasure #27), migrating ducks, and several other animals live in the ponds and stream.

face-in-rock cliffs The area is lighted at night, making it a romantic escape for lovers. The night lights also highlight a "hidden" face in the cliffs which can be difficult to see during the day, unless the light is just right.

boat Near the park entrance is a T'ae-u, a traditional type of boat used for fishing and gathering seaweed. It is believed that this type of boat was used to help deliver Korean culture to Japan. To demonstrate the feasibility of this, in May 1996, Mr. Choi, Bada (Chairman of the Research Center for Jeju Raft Preservation), sailed this boat between Korea and Japan.
