 
Located in the center of Jeju City, the Culture and Art Center was
opened in 1988 and has truly lived up to its name. This center has a large theater with 902 seats,
a smaller theater with 200 seats, and a medium-sized exhibition hall. Various performances and
exhibitions are held throughout the year. Having such facilities as a turning stage, moving stage,
orchestra pit, echo system, and lighting apparatus, the large theater is well suited to present
high-level performances. Also provided are subsidiary facilities such as two practice rooms, four
dressing rooms, and a playground. Not only local art organizations, but also nationally renowned
artists and organizations provide high quality performances for tourists and local residents.
