The new International Passenger Terminal has been completed near Yeonan Pier. As ferries go to Choenjin, Cheongdo, Daeryeon, Shanghai, and Dandong in China, signs are in Chinese as well as Korean. It if often crowded with travelers going to and from China. China Town is also a 10-minute walk. The nearby public sea water baths are quite refreshing.

Inch035 Centennial Monument of the Port's Opening
The Centennial Monument of the Port's Opening is easy to find. Standing tall (33.2 meters) in the downtown area, it was built to commemorate the contribution of Incheon's port to the country's industrialization and modernization. Since it opened in 1883, it has formed the gateway to the metropolitan area. It also represents the future image of Incheon. As it is positioned in the middle of the street, it can only be viewed from the nearby street.Its 100 boats symbolize the 100th anniversary of the opening of the port. The statue of a woman portrays hope and advance. The people in the boats and 12 other citizens show that the major players of the country's modernization are coming into the port full of strength and hope after plowing through rough waves. Songdo Amusement Park is not far away from the Monument, and Wolmi Island is only 10 minutes away.

Visitors can buy all types of seafood, including blue crabs, mussels, and others at reasonable prices. Nearby are several hundred raw fish restaurants, full of fresh fishes. At night, the restaurants really light up the night streets.

  • Subway line 1, Dongincheon Station; then take bus towards Yeonan Pier direction at Jungang-ro (takes about 15 to 20 minutes)

  • Pass the last stop of Gyeongin Goseokdoro and make a left turn at Incheon Port crossroads (opposite direction of Wolmido) and turn right at the 100-year memorial pagoda of opening pier crossroads; it is about 5 minutes from there.
