Sogang, Hongik, and Ewha Women's Universities.
Famous for its night life filled with beer halls, night clubs, and roadside
po'changmach'as (food vendors), Sinchon area also offers numerous coffee shops,
restaurants, and specialty shops. Near the front gate of
Ewha one can find what is probably
Korea's highest density of stores specializing in clothing, shoes, and women's
accessories, not to mention beauty salons. Nearby Ahyeon-dong has over 120 wedding
dress shops. Further down the road in Ahyeon-dong, many furniture stores offer discount
prices on tables, chairs, couches, and beds.

Wedding shops at Ahyeon-dong
Here visitors can buy a wedding dress for the same price as renting one in Japan. The area has about 300
wedding-related shops, including 150 wedding dress shops, traditional Korean dress shops, wedding photo
studios, and beauty salons located on the world's biggest wedding street. Popular high-class wedding
dresses are offered at very low prices. The Ahyeon-dong Wedding Festival is held every year.
