Besides the main ferries going back and forth between Wando and Jeju Island, you can catch ferries to the numerous other nearby islands. The schedules
and rates are posted in Korean only, and do not expect many people to speak English well, so it will
help to speak some Korean when buying a ticket.
Wando is famous for its seaweed (kim). Often you can see racks of seaweed drying in the sun
all over the island. A store across the street from the ferry terminal sells huge packs of dried
seaweed that people stock up on whenever they pass through.
