Korea publishes two daily (6 days/week) English language newspapers: The Korea Herald and The Korea Times. They are available at most hotels and many newspaper stands. Some other foreign newspapers can be obtained at major hotels. Most larger bookstores carry English magazines such as Time and Newsweek.
Larger bookstores offer a wide selection of books and magazines in English, Japanese, and some other languages. Book topics range from business to technical and classical novels to modern best sellers. Magazines about fashion and news are the most popular. Shoppers can also find many books related to Korean travel, culture, food, and religion. Books and especially magazines published outside of Korea tend to be more expensive because of shipping charges.
