ROK/ US Joint Marine Corps took a great part in recapturing Seoul with the Han River crossing operation. Therefore to
commemorate their brilliant devotion, the monument was built on Sept. 28, 1958. The Marine Corps Headquarters reconstructed
the monument on Sep. 20, 1984.

On April 23-24, 1951, the 27th Brigade, Britain Federal, made big achievements to collapse the Chinese People's Army's
1st Spring Attack in an area 7 km. north of Jukdun-ri. UN members and Gapyeong-gun established the monument to commemorate
the lives of the fallen soldiers and their military merit.

From April 22-25, 1951, Britain Forces fought to guard the freedom in Sulmari Valley. The 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment,
Trench Mortar Company soldiers had been sacrificed, so they set up the monument to commemorate these fallen soldiers.

Australia dispatched all of its Army, the Navy, and their Air Force to fight for peace to the world. The UN Council of the
Nations that participated in the Korean War erects this monument to commemorate their participation in the Korean War and to
cherish the memory of fallen patriots on Apr. 24, 1963. The current monument was re-established on Dec. 27, 1983.

Turkey dispatched one Infantry Brigade on Oct. 17, 1950. The brigade underwent a tough battle at first, but afterwards
they fought admirably on the battle of Geumyangjang-ri, the battle of Jangsungcheon, and the battle of Nevada. The Ministry
of Defense erected this monument to commemorate the fallen patriots¡' efforts and bravery.

units from Canada and New Zealand confronted the 5th Corps, NPRK Army, and the 63rd Army, Chinese Army, in the Hongcheon Battle.
They executed their mission successfully and accomplished to secure the battle line in the central part. This monument is
erected to commemorate and to cherish the heroic spirits who passed way in the battle.

The Uyldong-ri Battle (April 22-23, 1951) was the biggest battle that the Philippines Army fought against the Chinese
Army during the Korean War. They defended a position bravely against the offensive attacks of the 34th Division,
Chinese Army, in spring at Uyldong-ri, located 5 km. from the north of Yuncheon. They successfully covered the unit
located to their right side, allowing them to withdraw from their position to the rear. Afterwards, the Philippines Army
evacuated to the rear as the U.N. Forces had commanded. This monument was erected to commemorate the successful battle
at Uyldong-ri.

The five countries (Denmark, India, Italy, Norway, Sweden) who dispatched a medical treatment support group during the
Korean War showed the true sprit of a red cross. So, the Ministry of Defense erected this monument to let all countries
know and commemorate their red cross spirit.
