Does anyone know how to make DOKU?

Hi everyone!

I know that this probably sounds so stupid because this is a fairly easy dish to make, but I absolutely love it and cannot make it right. I'm trying to make DOKU (the rice cake noodle soup with eggs and onion). I have been boiling the rice cake noodles until soft in hot water, and then adding garlic and onion, and then cracking an egg into the pot. However, it doesn't have hardly any taste to it, maybe because I'm not using any meat.

Does anyone know how to make this correctly, and what types of meat or broth I would need to use to make this the right way?

Hello! Happy new year!
You're asking ddeock guk , just I had one before.Because today's new year's day in Korea. You've heard korean has lunar new year
like chinese has.
Korean eat ddeock guk on New year's day. It's new year's food.
Koean count their age after eating ddeock guk on new year's day.
since dduck guk is nice, almost korean restaurants served this meal for four seasons. I say winter is the best to have ddeock guk.

How to make it?
Probably you don't have any problem to find ddeock.
making guk is more important but it's easy.
for one portion, boil 3 cups of water and boil it.
when the water boils put two cups of ddeock and green onions
and salt.if you find dasida (brand name of korean seasoning power which is meat, garlic, salt, oninons etc. so it's easy you to make your soup flaver)
Since ddeok is very thin and quick to cook, don't boil for a
long time. when the water and ddeock boil, almost spil out of the pot. turn the heat down a bit, and break the egg and stir
it very quickly. It could be the last minute of this soup.

It is simple way that I like to cook ddeock guk.
but on new year's day, my mom usually boils beef meat in the water to make a flaver stock. after boiling water and beef ,Pick up the beef meat, use the stock. It's tasty.
sprinkle black pepper just before you have it.not too much!!
Enjoy cooking ddeock guk! I like ddeock so I put it in kimchi soup and ramyen all the time!
